Terra Oil

LUFT originated Terra Oil to pursue a new opportunity emerging in Argentina’s upstream sector: producing conventional assets becoming available as major energy companies increasingly concentrate capital on unconventional resources.

Terra Oil brings together LUFT, international investors — including AMOS Global Energy and Explorador Capital Management — and experienced Argentine operating capabilities.

Its first platform is in Santa Cruz, in the San Jorge Basin: mature fields with existing production, established infrastructure and decades of operating history.

These are assets where value can be created through disciplined capital, operating efficiency and production optimization.

RenovAr 2 Solar Portfolio

800+ MW · Argentina

For Argentina’s second RenovAr renewable energy tender, LUFT brought together a consortium of Argentine solar developers and international capital.
The result was a portfolio of more than 800 MW of solar projects presented under a common investment structure — giving local developers access to institutional capital and international investors access to a significant pipeline of Argentine renewable energy opportunities.

Mario Cebreiro Wind Farm Formerly Corti

100 MW · Buenos Aires Province

LUFT originated and structured the investment for Pampa Energía’s first move into renewable energy, bringing international capital into the project.
The 100 MW wind farm became one of the landmark projects of Argentina’s RenovAr program and Pampa Energía’s first renewable generation asset.

Led by Ali Moshiri, who ran Chevron’s Africa and Latin America business until 2017. He was on the Chevron side of the Vaca Muerta investments Doris Capurro helped bring in from YPF. Today he invests alongside Terra Oil in Santa Cruz.

Australia-based investment partner with a global network of private investors and a focus on identifying and backing compelling opportunities across international markets. Maverick works alongside LUFT in developing and evaluating investment opportunities in Argentina’s energy and natural resources sectors.

The conventional oil and gas investment platform originated by LUFT to acquire, optimize and develop producing assets in Argentina.

US investment fund, partner in the Santa Cruz transaction.

Independent Argentine oil and gas company with extensive experience operating conventional assets. ROCH provides operating capabilities to the Santa Cruz platform.

US investment firm managing approximately USD 21 billion. Took half of the equity in the Mario Cebreiro wind farm, originated and structured by LUFT.

One of Argentina’s largest independent energy companies. Built its first renewable asset with LUFT.

Doris Capurro

Founder & CEO, LUFT Energía and Terra Oil

Before founding LUFT, Doris Capurro was Vice President at YPF between 2012 and 2015, playing a central role in launching the commercial development of Vaca Muerta and attracting investment from Chevron, Dow and Petronas.

That history is now coming full circle. Ali Moshiri, then head of Chevron in Latin America, is today an investor and partner in our projects.

Over 30 years in corporate strategy and communications, including building and selling one of Argentina’s leading advertising agencies. Sociologist, Universidad de Buenos Aires.
